NoLimit sees exponential growth in support of Ethernet for high-performance AI and HPC networking

45 new members join to advance Ethernet for a new era.

The NoLimit Foundation is pleased to announce 45 new members since we began accepting applications in November. The influx underlines the foundation's role as a unifying force, bringing industry leaders together to build a complete Ethernet-based communication stack for high-performance networking.

Members have been vocal about why they joined, and their testimonials, available on this site, reflect both the collaborative spirit and a shared view of where high-performance networking is going.

In the roughly two months since applications opened, the foundation has grown by 450 percent. In October there were 10 steering members. Today there are 45 additional member companies, and 715 industry experts actively engaged across eight working groups. That puts NoLimit at the front of industry collaboration on Ethernet-based communication for AI and HPC.

There was always a recognition that the foundation was meeting a need. There is a strong desire for an open, accessible, Ethernet-based network designed specifically for AI and HPC workload requirements, and this level of involvement helps us reach the goal of broad interoperability and stability.

Work on the architecture is running on an aggressive timeline, with the 1.0 release targeted for the second quarter of this year. The initial targets are described in the 1.0 overview available to members, and recent technical progress is covered in our detailed update.

For those who want to get involved, the foundation offers eight technical working groups: Physical Layer, Link Layer, Transport Layer, Software Layer, Storage, Compliance, Management, and Performance and Debug. Interested parties are encouraged to explore them and contribute.
